What Our Guidance Department Offers:

The Guidance office is a comfortable and welcoming environment for students and families—a place where you can obtain information and support. CCI's Guidance department serves the school community in a variety of ways:

• Supports students in developing thoughtful academic plans and making informed course selections

• Guides students in exploring specialized pathways and programs that align with their learning styles, interests, and individual needs

• Works one-on-one with students to envision post-secondary pathways and set meaningful short- and long-term goals

• Provides comprehensive information on a wide range of post-secondary options and career pathways

• Assists students in building effective study habits and preparing for evaluations and exams

• Offers coaching in career and life planning, including support with college, university, and scholarship applications

• Helps students develop essential life skills such as decision-making, problem-solving, conflict resolution, stress management, time management, and healthy relationship awareness

• Provides personal support and connects students with appropriate school and community resources

      

Timetable Changes:

If students and guardians wish to book an appointment for timetable changes or other inquiries with any of our counsellors please call our Guidance office between 7:30am and 3:30pm. Due to the influx of requests and new registrations it can take some time in August and September before we can respond and schedule. We appreciate one call per request so we can schedule efficiently. Thank you for your understanding.

During the school year, students are encouraged to visit our office before school, at lunch or at the end of the day to book an appointment.
