Mental Health Week Lunchtime Activities for Students
This week is CMHA Mental Health Week and this year’s theme is Come Together. CMHA is inviting you to connect with your community, and yourself because connection strengthens mental health. S.W.A.G has organized a variety of well-being activities throughout the week to engage and educate our school community. Our main event this week is on Thursday May 7th when we are supporting Makerspace Magic in an evening where our students and families can explore brain-healthy activities. (Registration is below)

Included below are a variety of resources to support learning in the classroom and at home. Stay tuned for announcements throughout the week and please feel free to join us for any events that fit your schedule.

Makerspace Magic Event - MAY 7,  Register today!

Makerspace Magic is back again this year! In partnership with School Council and the Student Wellness Advisory Group (S.W.A.G.), CCI is excited to invite our families to an evening of creativity, movement, mindfulness, and fun. This year’s event will highlight a wide range of creative, active, and “brain healthy” activities offered at CCI - through our Library Makerspace programming, wellness initiatives, clubs, school events, and courses. Families will have the opportunity to try a mix of making, movement, and mindfulness activities together!

Date: Thursday, May 7, 2026
Time: 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm
•    Session 1: 3:00 pm – 4:30 pm
•    Dinner & Community Partners Fair: 4:30 pm – 5:30 pm
•    Session 2: 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm
Families are invited to join us for one session or the entire evening! Each session includes:

•    A short 15-20 min. informational presentation
•    Choice based, hands on workshops and interactive activities that families can participate in.
🍕 Dinner Information
During the dinner break, you can explore our Community Partners Fair, and then take some time together to work on a puzzle or play a board game! Families are able to pre order pizza for dinner through SchoolCash Online.
