CCI Athletic Points and Awards
Interschool Sport Participation
- A member of an interschool team with a minimum of 75% participation:
- Major Team - 30 Points
Badminton, Basketball, Cross Country Running, Football, Gymnastics, Nordic
Skiing, Track & Field, Volleyball, Wrestling
- Minor Team - 20 points
Alpine Skiing, Curling, Golf, Tennis, Soccer
- Placing in the top five at the GBSSA Championships.
Points will be awarded for the best performance of either team results
or the one best individual performance (where applicable), but not both.

Managers and Officials
- Interschool manager or scorer - 15 points
- Athletic Council Executive (recommended by Phys. Ed. Head) -

- Athletic Council - 10 points
Athletic Awards
- Junior Letters
- awarded to athletes who have accumulated at least 200 points.
- Senior Letters
- awarded to athletes who have accumulated at least 400 points.
- Major Letters
- awarded to athletes in their graduating year who have earned a minimum of 550
points, displayed an above-average athletic ability, has contributed in some way to the
activities of the athletic council and has exemplified the highest level of sportsmanship and
school citizenship throughout their athletic career at CCI.
- Junior Athletes of the Year (Male and Female)
- the athletes must be in grade 9 or 10, have made an outstanding athletic
contribution to the school and exhibited a high level of sportsmanship and school citizenship.
- Senior Athletes of the Year (Male and Female)
- the athletes must be in their graduating year, have contributed directly to
athletics at CCI, both at the interschool and the intramural levels, and exemplified the highest
level of sportsmanship and school citizenship throughout their athletic career at CCI.
- Note:
Major Letter and the Junior and Senior Athletes of the Year are reviewed by the CCI
Athletic Awards Committee for final selections after consultation with the coaches at CCI.
